lyrics
Look to the heart of a seaside town, the compass of fate has set its course
My sails were cast through white wave storms, to pass a doomed curiosity
Death is not the final burial when the scent of paranoia has come
When sleep evades the mind, all is lost
The fool in the labyrinth be undone
A sight not known, in the tower of a house, focused to materialize
The curtained window, from afar, dressed in foreign mediums none recognize
Had I only known the memories, that haunted those who believed
Once I’ve heard this melody, I know it’s too late to leave
Phantom aura has found my steps, rest I beg to be my guide
Hollow hymns and winds they drone, a suffering carved on a thousand grave stones
Back in my ship’s quarters, I watch the compass spin wild
Try to break from illusion’s confines, but these windows are no longer mine…
Throes of anguish welcome my return, running the halls of apparition control
Fate would be what I’ve deserved, to deny the seafaring tales of old
Her stare lacerates my thoughts, now I suffer this nightmare alone
What I’ve seen, I could never explain, escape is all in vain
I turned to meet the Expressionist stare, of a sight my mind could no longer bear
Fabled silence, the visitor’s vow…
I’m forever victim in the Doller House

Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

Purification stand tall, a towering statue in the temple, as one of the finest DOOM acts today. A masterwork strikes in the dark of night! As others note, a distinct Type O-ish gothy vibe adds interesting new flavor to the band’s palate while the base is still 100% Purification. Rips from the rhythms, to the keys, to the sax, to the vocals, everything coming together under the dominion of THE meanest riffs you have heard in an eon of the Earth. Just stupidly delicious, thick, lush musicality. pinkytheent
