We were told of a time since past, that carried essence long ago But are we here, left to sit and wonder, what these memories hold? Altar planes and elder chambers span the Lands of Stagnation Stillness lies in the legacy of shapeless kingdoms gone So it was said, should we inherit and live throughout the days of hope, Ruins of sound shall stand once more, to reveal tomorrow’s gold Blackened threads of times past are hidden at childhood’s dawn and all that we are is a lasting voice to their thoughts. Mantra spreads the message bound to find us all Enchanted sages converge as one to hear our call Lives spent and what remains in these valleys of atrament? Anthems of these bygone days to circle once again From the Earth, written in stone, the lessons they once lived Observer inherits the peace that always was within Remember now the creation of this life we celebrate Time is nigh, make us one, from age to age Ashes to ashes Dust to Dust Fire to fire Blood to Blood Join the Moon and Sun All Shall Become One

Marble Eye 04:14
Withered, shattered, I remain, a pauper of time from ravaged domains Mapping the stars to worlds unknown, a ritual of relics, I atone Wise man’s prayers of ancient lore, forgotten discipline is now restored The end of life when all is made clear, for celestial teachings to pierce the spheres Undying master with hallowed seal, holds my prosperity through decaying tides Winds of ash, spirit rise, dimensional warrior now realized Beyond the vastness of shadowed skies They who arise with Marble Eye The depths of antiquity sense my place to pass through a body of regal blaze In reflection of the universe, lies unspoken truths of the unseen We’ve travelled beyond burdens of time and smokescreen illusions for centuries To those awaiting, who fear the Death Hour, awaken from your confused sleep The Eternal of free will shall reside in the search for trichotomy

Look to the heart of a seaside town, the compass of fate has set its course My sails were cast through white wave storms, to pass a doomed curiosity Death is not the final burial when the scent of paranoia has come When sleep evades the mind, all is lost The fool in the labyrinth be undone A sight not known, in the tower of a house, focused to materialize The curtained window, from afar, dressed in foreign mediums none recognize Had I only known the memories, that haunted those who believed Once I’ve heard this melody, I know it’s too late to leave Phantom aura has found my steps, rest I beg to be my guide Hollow hymns and winds they drone, a suffering carved on a thousand grave stones Back in my ship’s quarters, I watch the compass spin wild Try to break from illusion’s confines, but these windows are no longer mine… Throes of anguish welcome my return, running the halls of apparition control Fate would be what I’ve deserved, to deny the seafaring tales of old Her stare lacerates my thoughts, now I suffer this nightmare alone What I’ve seen, I could never explain, escape is all in vain I turned to meet the Expressionist stare, of a sight my mind could no longer bear Fabled silence, the visitor’s vow… I’m forever victim in the Doller House

I. Prayer of the Shepherd Resting from atop my placid lands, lost in these times as a lonely man In all of my devotions and days hard spent, is it your will I should suffer this lament? People they fear in the wake of anxiety, treading cliffs of faith and apostasy I can’t live through this strife and doubt, my only candle has nearly burned out Magistrates gather in their grim-faced courts, to cast down death with pious damnation Hunted down in darksome ways ordained by law, to answer for their acts in the name of Satan No one sees the madness that plagues our kind, what is there to trust or who to find? So with these words I send to you to end my despairs, For (without love) life has no meaning unless it is shared Hear my solemn prayers leaving mooncrest boughs My only candle is soon to burn out II. Trespasser What had passed all around, a vision sent to me A mystic child with jesting smile, singing divine melodies Myths of old visit pensive souls in their darkest hour of need Where time relents in shrouded descent, at the gates of majesty Was it chance to reach the hand, What past desire became Under cavern stars in mists afar I see a wisp of candle flame! A voice cried out…then takes flight in an azure cloak The face I’ve seen in starlit dream, caught my sight to chase below Essence of myrrh fills the air, shifting form with mark of hare Shadow of light, she obscures, spellbound echoes and whispers Midnight chase…Trespasser People warn of magic deeds past the hour of sleep, where she goes I must know the truth I’ve seen Who can span the comet trails with mere command? Or dance away in crimson flame with gentle trace of hand? Trespasser marked by touch of mystery, your secrets hold a promise longing to be free Now I see the ancient chains, this ground on which you lie Flee too far from these lands and they will take your life III. The Rites of Jade Shepherd have you come to set me free? You and I are the key in all we seek Undisturbed a false move breaks the Moon’s guard Yet without fear, this pact unites our hearts Life and death are all the same, lose yourself and celebrate Take my hand into the Rites of Jade Into the Rites of Jade Incense mists on an emerald lake of glass Cord of fire binds the image we cast Fragile brink of pain or searing ecstasy Shrine of adoration and sorcery Passion rippling all around Spirits cleansed upon sacred ground Follow me into the Rites of Jade Into the Rites of Jade Priestess, Pyromantic Angel of Light, We are one in forgotten exalted cries Our beloved pleasures the four moons hide, and all that’s said is sealed until the day we die Into the Rites of Jade IV. Moons over Hexenhaus (Instrumental) V. Exaltation Clandestine Peace, so threatened where suspicion rides, our rose tinted days would end with mercy denied Torchlight raids in thirst possessed So cold those trials they request Neglected screams, disgraced by hands that carry the law of God’s command And there she was, bound to be shown, to the hill that claimed a thousand souls… “Witch,” they say, “confess and be saved.” They cast their scorn and curse your name Stripped before, like those condemned, and sent above to scorched torment Look ‘on high in this sea of hate, so my vision is betrayed… Whisper the rites in mournful epitaph and cross your heart in dule and death The hour is nigh while this ardor lasts, an exaltation unsurpassed Glistening flames kiss your face, climbing to steal your breath away But I still can hear a call in the sky from the silhouette that burned so bright VI. Pyromancer’s Key Now as I watch you raise your head up high, sing my child…your last cry Something I’ve lost now is truly gone…someone to show me a place to belong Now my faith and prayers are memories…God, why have you forsaken me? Death shall greet them all the same, through winds of myrrh and purest jade Black quintessence of sorcery, we shall be one as the Moon decrees The Pyromancer’s Key at last is made, and so they too shall die from this flame… VII. The Return of the Girl in White (Instrumental)

There is a vision in mountain glades Darkness will be forever gone Hiding in frozen providence is the promise of mystic dawns As I stand in these halberd spires Absolution awaits from afar A child is born in all that we may fynde, to see it as we really are In the name of the ones before us, Dreaming exiles in alpine May you rise to sip the mirrored waters of a Marble Eye Sky To draw my arrow, iris white Endless flight for this passerby Strike the oak of my journey’s end and clasp the hand of my dearest friend Dawn of a new day’s resplendent sight Always shall be ours to adore A faith of the past told the tale of life A pledge to arrive on its own

about

In the Spring of 2017, two brothers began an undertaking that would lead them into complete exile over a period of 2 ½ years. The sonic vision that became Marble Eye, is the true debut album of Alex and Nick Greywitt of Tyranonaut from Rochester, NY. Self-financed and self-released under their own label, Hopkins and Stearne Productions, Marble Eye is the amalgamation of the brothers’ ideals of what an album, an invaluable treasure frozen in time, should encapsulate while demanding “active listening,” as penned by the band.

Witchfinder General, Black Sabbath, Witchfynde, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Trouble, Pagan Altar, Nazareth, Angel Witch, Jaguar, Satan, Desolation Angels, Hawkwind, Poison (Germany), Jethro Tull, old Genesis, King Crimson, Budgie, Captain Beyond, Black Hole, Celtic Frost, Candlemass/Nemesis, Cloven Hoof, Dream Death/Penance, The Sisters of Mercy and countless others were among utmost importance during this time to create a heavy album with its own sonic identification and concepts.

The Hermetic mindset during this time birthed 5 songs spanning 52 minutes which we are proud to finally release.

Until then, future eyewitness of those days…a thousand days of yesterday are time since come and gone. Our penance is paid.
